(2) Documents Regarding the Financial Capability of the Sponsor

1. Evidence of financial support (use the form specified by the school)

2. Certificate of kinship

3. Bank balance certificate

4. Copy of bank passbook or equivalent

5. Certificate of employment (or occupation)

6. Corporate registry certificate

7. Business license

 

Additional documents if the sponsor resides abroad:

• Certificate of income or tax payment

 

Additional documents if the sponsor resides in Japan:

• Certificate of tax payment

 

Notes

•  All documents must be issued within three months prior to submission to the Tokyo Immigration Bureau.

•  Documents written in languages other than Japanese must be accompanied by a Japanese translation (using Word or similar), except for Personal Record ①.

•  Except for the original graduation certificate, submitted documents will not be returned.

•  The school will notify the applicant regarding the issuance of the Certificate of Eligibility (CoE). Upon issuance, tuition and other fees must be paid promptly. The CoE will be sent to the applicant after the payment confirmation. Thereafter, the applicant must visit the local Japanese embassy to obtain a visa.

•  Under certain circumstances, tuition already paid may be refunded. However, the visa application fee and entrance fee will not be refunded under any circumstances.
